Random B&W Photos

I usually don't photograph flowers or plant life very often. Normally it doesn't interest me as a subject. However, I saw this while I was photographing something else close by and thought it could be a nice image. I'm not at all impressed with the composition but my main goal was to convert it to B&W, testing some simple Photoshop techniques I recently learned using layers and masks. I still see room for improvement but it's not too bad for the small amount of time I spent on it.




This was just a quick snapshot of the front of a small town machine shop. I just like the contrast of the bricks and windows and the weathered look of the whole thing.
